Today was a fairly good day. I don't need to stinkin' coffee! I did have a glass of green tea a couple of times this week at lunch, which lit a fire for sure. But other than that, I've been caffeine free. Can't wait to see how much better I get over time. I haven't been this caffeine free since probably middle school. I'm excited to see what I can accomplish without the reign of caffeine. Or, who knows? Maybe I'll realize humankind is just better on caffeine!
- I'm grateful for the skills I now have to rely on. The ones I can't think of but now rely upon every day. Excel tricks, vision for a finished product, planning and scheduling. Things that make life easier at my job. This may seem weak, but I believe that we take these things for granted each day.
- I'm grateful for a workplace that is somewhat safe and secure. Doors lock. They're unlocked with remote cards, and not with magnetic strips. Laptops are secured at all times. I've also never heard of a case of stolen equipment or belongings, at least not in my department. Things are really laid back there. I guess that leads me to my last gratitude item.
- The atmosphere is peaceful, calm, and quiet. Aside from pressuring Japanese philosophies of progress, it's extremely chill. I'm grateful for an atmosphere where I can relax and focus on work. Not loud distractions.
